Anhui: Cultivating talents for NEV industry

“Lightweighting is a future trend for new energy vehicles. Our students built this new lightweight car, assembling it themselves after purchasing the components." Zhang He, a teacher in the Automotive Engineering Department of Lingbi County Advanced Vocational and Technical School, pointed to a special race car and said to the reporter.

On December 3rd, our reporter visited Lingbi County Advanced Vocational and Technical School in Suzhou, Anhui Province to learn about the story of vocational education empowering the development of the NEV industry.

It is understood that the training base of Lingbi County Advanced Vocational and Technical School was approved as Anhui Province's high-skilled talent training base in 2021. The NEV training room is equipped with national skill competition workstations, virtual simulation workstations, and NEV linkage workstations, reaching a leading level in the province. This has helped the school's teachers and students win 8 national skill awards and 26 provincial skill awards. The intelligent manufacturing training room is equipped with 32 sets of large-scale equipment, including machining centers, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC wire cutting machines.
