Recently, reporters visited Chery's production base located in the Wuhu Economic Development Zone, and the intelligent connected super factory guided by the principles of "intelligence + internet connectivity + electric + green" left a strong impression. Since its mass production in February this year, the production workshop has achieved a monthly capacity of 25,000 complete vehicles. Multiple new energy vehicle models will gradually be exported from here to the world. It is reported that the Wuhu Economic Development Zone has prioritized the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industry, with Chery Automobile as the core, focusing on complete vehicles, components, and the aftermarket. Efforts are being made to accelerate the construction of an internationally competitive NEV industrial cluster, aiming to make "Anhui-made" automobiles shine globally. As one of the earliest Chinese automakers to go global, Chery's products have been exported to more than 80 countries and regions worldwide, with over 12 million global users. It has remained the top Chinese brand for passenger car exports for 20 consecutive years. From January to September this year, Chery Group's total vehicle sales exceeded 1.253 million units, a year-on-year increase of 40.2%. The cumulative sales in the first three quarters have already surpassed the full-year sales of last year. Around Chery Automobile, the Wuhu Economic Development Zone is committed to strengthening the positive impact of the complete vehicle segment. The Chery Intelligent Connected Vehicle Super Factory, with a total investment of 13 billion yuan, has achieved full production, while the Jiangbei Intelligent Connected Vehicle Industrial Park project, with a total investment of 12 billion yuan, is currently under construction and is expected to start production in 2024. Currently, the Wuhu Economic Development Zone has 110 large-scale industrial enterprises in the new energy and intelligent connected vehicle industry, driving nearly a thousand associated companies along the entire industry chain, including complete vehicles, power systems, chassis, bodywork, interior and exterior decorations, intelligent cabins, electronics, and electrical appliances. This has formed a well-developed intelligent connected vehicle industrial cluster and ecosystem.
