WMC 2023: Projects docking of '100 Overseas Chinese Enterprises' and '100 HK and Macao Enterprises' and the Chaohu Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Summit held in Hefei

On September 20th, under the theme "Entrepreneurship in China, Innovation for the World," the 2023 World Manufacturing Convention: Projects docking of "100 Overseas Chinese Enterprises" and "100 Hong Kong and Macao Enterprises" and the Chaohu Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurship Summit guided by the China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and co-hosted by the Anhui Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Anhui Province, Hefei Municipal People's Government, and Tongling Municipal People's Government, was held in Hefei. The event was co-organized by the USTC Silicon Valley Service Platform Company and the Alumni Association of the USTC, with support from the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Department.

Approximately 150 participants from various units including sister provincial (municipal) federations of returned overseas Chinese, Anhui provincial departments related to overseas Chinese affairs, Hefei Municipal People's Government, Tongling Municipal People's Government, USTC Silicon Valley Service Platform Company, China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association, overseas Chinese business representatives from the Yangtze River Delta, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Greater Bay Area, representatives from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's office in Shanghai, representatives from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, as well as overseas Chinese business representatives and signing representatives from over 40 countries and regions worldwide, attended the event.

During the event, a total of 33 overseas Chinese enterprise projects and 33 Hong Kong and Macao enterprise projects were signed, with a total investment of 53.8 billion yuan.

Furthermore, some conference attendees visited the Horticulture Exposition Garden, and a group of overseas Chinese business guests visited Tongling to participate in the "Entrepreneurship in China: Prominent Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs in Tongling" activity.
