The 5th High-level Forum on Integrated Development of the YRD held in Hefei

On June 6th, the 5th High-level Forum on Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) of China was held in Hefei, Anhui. Party and government leaders, experts from research institutions and think tanks, and business representatives from three provinces and one city, centering on the theme of "Joining Hands for High-Quality Integration and Advancing Chinese-style Modernization", discussed the integration plan and sought high-quality development.

The year 2023 marks the beginning of the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country, and also the fifth anniversary of the YRD Integration Development being designated as a national strategy. The YRD, which accounts for 1/26 of the country's area and 1/6 of its population, has created nearly 1/4 of the country's economic output for five consecutive years, and has become the world's sixth-largest urban agglomeration. Over the past five years, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, and Anhui have worked together closely to make the YRD one of China's most active, open, innovative, and marketable regions in China.

From a global perspective, how can the YRD conduct research on higher-quality integration development? How can it seize the opportunity of YRD integration to promote the high-quality development of new energy vehicles? At the forum, Wu Chun, the Executive Partner, Managing Director, and Global Senior Partner of Boston Consulting Group China, and Wang Chuanfu, the Chairman and President of BYD Co., Ltd., delivered keynote speeches, sharing their insights and expertise to promote higher-quality integration development in the YRD region.

During the forum, the Digital YRD Co-construction Alliance was launched, the YRD government service cross-provincial remote virtual window was unveiled, the construction achievements of the YRD regional quantum secure communication backbone network were released, and major cooperation agreements were signed, including the Hefei-Zhangjiang Comprehensive National Science Center Cooperation and Co construction Agreement, the YRD Major Science and Technology Infrastructure Linkage Development Cooperation Memorandum, and the detailed implementation of the "Memorandum of Cooperation on Promoting Cadre Exchange and Cooperation in the YRD Integration".
