At 8 a.m. on February 21, accompanied by the roar of construction machinery, the G312 Helu Road (Xinqiao Avenue-Houdian Road) Project Section 1, undertaken by Anhui Road and Bridge Engineering Group, started smoothly. G312 Helu Road (Xinqiao Avenue-Houdian Road) Project Section 1 starts from the intersection of Helu Road and Xinqiao Avenue in the west and ends at the junction of Helu Road and Sanchengsi Road in the east (not including the intersections), with a total length of 3.58 kilometers and a boundary line 60 meters wide. The road is a first-class highway and can also be used as an urban expressway. The road is planned to be open to traffic in the second half of 2024, and there will be no traffic lights on the main road. After completion, the journey from Lu'an to Hefei will be shortened to less than 30 minutes. G312 Helu Road, as a vital traffic line connecting Hefei and Lu'an, is essential for expanding the Hefei metropolitan area and developing the Helu Economic Corridor. After the project is completed, it will further improve the travel conditions of the masses, promote the construction of the Canal New City and the Rural Revitalization Demonstration Area in Shushan District, promote the interconnection of regional road networks, and promote the economic development along the road.
