2022 is the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. To celebrate this historical moment, the "25th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Return to the Motherland – A New Era: Stability, Prosperity, Opportunity" exhibition hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Shanghai (SHETO) of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) was opened in Hefei on August 8.

Through this exhibition and a series of activities, the SHETO showcases Hong Kong's achievements over the past 25 years, hopes for a better future, and shares the joy with the mainland people.

Cai Liang, Director of SHETO, delivered a speech at the exhibition's opening ceremony. She hoped that the exhibition would enable the people of Hefei to deeply understand the development of Hong Kong in the past 25 years, the close relationship between Hong Kong and the Mainland, and the blueprint for the future development of Hong Kong.

Cai Liang thanked the relevant units in Anhui Province and Hefei City for their strong support of this exhibition. She said that due to the epidemic, people in Anhui and Hong Kong are temporarily unable to exchange visits and communicate easily as in the past. During this period, SHETO held many youth activities in Anhui Province. In the future, it will continue to hold various economic, trade, cultural and youth activities in Anhui to promote cooperation and communication between Anhui and Hong Kong.

In the form of pictures and texts, the exhibition tells the story of Hong Kong's transformation from a small fishing port to today's international metropolis. But both before and after its return, Hong Kong's developments are inseparable from the development of China.

The exhibition is held at the Swan Lake Wanda Plaza from August 8 to August 14 and is free to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to receive souvenirs and participate in workshops and check-in Hong Kong landmarks from a distance.

The exhibition was successfully held in Suzhou City and Nanjing City and will be moved to Wuhu City, Anhui Province, on October 11.
