The traditional Chinese solar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Start of Winter is the first solar term of winter, which means winter is coming, the chill sets in, and camellias quietly bloom. Their red petals bring warmth to the cold season, wrapping the land in gentle color and filling winter with life.
