At nightfall, the Old Street in Tunxi District of Huangshan City is illuminated by a dazzling array of lights. The combination of the bustling atmosphere and modern technology offers tourists a new way to enjoy their nightlife. Visitors can cruise down the river at night with the cool breeze blowing, enjoying the magnificent view of the downtown section of the Xin'an River, with sparkling lights reflecting on the water's surface. 
Established as a national 4A-level tourist attraction in January 2013, the Xin'an Riverside Scenic Area is a comprehensive tourist destination that integrates sightseeing, cultural displays, and ecological experiences. Taking advantage of the high-quality landscape resources on both sides of the Xin'an River, the scenic area has developed a variety of well-designed water-based tourism products with the theme of "touring Xin'an River and experiencing Anhui culture." 
Various street vendors, artful light decorations, tempting specialty foods, and unique cultural and creative shops stand in the commercial district of Hejie Li. Powered by high technology, this old street now manifests a special vitality that is both traditional and modern. 
After a recent upgrading project launched by Huangshan City, Hejie Street in Tunxi resumed operations in October 2022. The street not only inherits but also transforms and innovates the culture of Tunxi Old Street, incorporating it into the lifestyles of young people. This has formed a commercial ecosystem that is quiet, elegant, traditional, and well-preserved inside, and lively, popular, fashionable, and actively expanding outside. With the advantages of its riverside location and beautiful night view of lights and shadows, Hejie Street has created a new scene for Tunxi's night economy, enhancing the economic vitality of cultural tourism.
