"APEC has done a lot in setting the best practices in reducing tariffs and non-tariff barriers" for economies to work together, said Eric Zheng, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AmCham Shanghai).

Following the APEC 2025 in South Korea, the CIIE in Shanghai is providing another global platform for businesses to work on creating new opportunities. American companies are eyeing greater participation and outcomes at the event in China, Zheng said.
