On August 23, a symposium for foreign-invested enterprises was held in Hefei. The purpose of this meeting was to listen to the suggestions of foreign-invested enterprises on our province's policies related to businesses. Over the past decade, Anhui has been one of the fastest-growing provinces in China's economy, with both its use of foreign capital and actual outbound investment ranking among the top ten nationwide. From January to July this year, our province ranked seventh in the country, second in the Yangtze River Delta region, and first among the six central provinces in terms of the growth rate of actual use of foreign capital. In response to the issues raised by enterprises regarding labor, international flights, and industrial chain support, departments such as the Provincial Department of Commerce, Provincial Development and Reform Commission, Provincial Public Security Department, Provincial Department of Transportation, and Provincial Market Supervision Administration provided immediate responses on-site. They resolved issues that could be immediately addressed and proposed ideas and measures for those that were not yet feasible, actively working towards solutions. This high-quality and efficient service has strengthened businesses' confidence in investing in Anhui. Our province is solidly advancing a high level of opening up, striving to create a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and international, and legally protecting the rights and interests of foreign investors. Efforts are being made to improve the systems for facilitating the entry, residence, medical care, and payment conveniences for overseas personnel, making it fertile ground for foreign investment and business ventures. Japan is one of our province's important economic and trade cooperation partners, serving as our third largest trading partner and ninth largest source of foreign capital. Currently, there are 170 Japanese companies investing and thriving in our province. Including Japanese firms, from January to July this year, the province has established 341 new foreign-invested enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 7.2%.
