It is summer harvest time and farmers are busy on the vast plains of Guoyang County, Anhui Province.The harvester traverses the fields of golden wheat, bringing the golden grain to the barn. Guoyang county is the national high quality commodity grain production base, with 1.87 million mu of wheat being harvested in nearly a week. Different from other grain-producing counties, traditional agriculture and wind power industry harmoniously integrate on this Northern Anhui plain. The innovative model of Wind power + Agriculture has integrated industries, injecting strong momentum into rural revitalization. "In our village, 3,000 mu of wheat can be harvested in five days, achieving both grain and clean electricity harvests." Yao Yueling, deputy secretary of party branch in Madianji Town, Wufu Village introduced, "Wind power generation is helpful to promote rural tourism, rural economic development and rural revitalization!" Under the goal of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, relying on the advantages of abundant plain wind and solar energy resources, Guoyang County has introduced new energy leading enterprises in recent years, which organically integrates modern agriculture, wind power, photovoltaic and other green and low-carbon new energy industries, and realizes ecological environmental protection and sustainable economic development. According to reports, the wind farm located in Madianji Town of Guoyang has a total installed capacity of 50MW and is simultaneously equipped with 10MWh energy storage system, which can provide 116 million KWH of clean electricity annually and save 36,300 tons of standard coal equivalent. The wind farm can not only bring local economic benefits such as tax revenue, but also provide 100% green electricity to help reduce carbon emissions and make contributions to local ecological protection.
