Major government leaders of the Yangtze River Delta gathered in Quzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province Thursday, brainstorming how to work together to make the region “green and beautiful”.
The two-day 18th mayors’ meeting deliberated on a work report delivered by the Yangtze River Delta Economic Coordination Council. 30 mayors exchanged their ideas at the meeting.
A proposal was also passed at the meeting, adding Tongling, Anqing, Chizhou and Xuancheng, four cities in East China's Anhui province, to the region. Thus there are 34 member cities here.
The meeting was attended by mayors of 30 cities - Shanghai, Zhejiang province’s Ningbo, Zhoushan, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, Huzhou, Jiaxing, Taizhou, Jinhua, Quzhou, Lishui and Wenzhou, Jiangsu province’s Wuxi, Suzhou, Yangzhou, Nanjing, Nantong, Taizhou, Changzhou, Zhenjiang, Yancheng, Huai’an, Lianyungang, Xuzhou and Suqian, and Anhui province’s Hefei, Ma’anshan, Wuhu, Chuzhou and Huainan.
