China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has released the first batch of "all-for-one" tourism demonstration zones that integrate tourism resources for comprehensive development of the industry.

A total of 71 districts, counties and units were included in the list, such as Jinggangshan City in East China's Jiangxi province, Huairou District of Beijing and Yixian County of Huangshan City, East China's Anhui province, according to the ministry on Wednesday.

The ministry said the first batch of "all-for-one" tourism demonstration zones was selected in accordance with relative guidelines, in order to implement China's 13th Five-Year Plan for tourism development.

China's tourism authority issued guidelines to develop "all-for-one" tourism demonstration zones in 2017 to improve tourism competitiveness and service quality.

The demonstration zones should have high standards of governance, extensive tourism products and services and active public participation, according to the guidelines.

The idea of "all-for-one" tourism was first mentioned in 2017 in the government work report to cater to the country's growing demand for tourism products and services and facilitate economic transition.
