The economic regulator of east China’s Anhui province has released a feasibility report on the G3 Tongling Yangtze River Road-Rail Bridge project, which will bring another bridge to the Anhui-section Yangtze River. Upon completion, the road-rail bridge will replace the existing Tongling Yangtze River Highway Bridge, the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission said. Situated about 720 meters away from the highway bridge, the 11.88-km new bridge will be part of the G3 expressway (from Beijing to Taipei). The main bridge will be 1,505 meters long, with a cable-stayed bridge system spanning 988 meters, according to the report. The project is expected to be completed in four years and cost 8.69 billion yuan ($1.304 billion), the report said.
