The Red Dot Design Museum Essen in Germany intends to expand its reach in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province.
The news was announced Monday at a press briefing following the World Manufacturing Convention 2018 and the Anhui Investment and Trade Expo 2018 held from May 25 to 27 in the city.
Located in Essen, Germany, the museum is known as the largest exhibition of contemporary design worldwide.
During the three-day event, 88 multinational enterprises signed contracts worth 75.6 billion yuan ($11.8 billion).
The convention showed remarkable achievements made by the province’s manufacturing sector and was widely acclaimed by visitors from home and abroad.
Anhui province is an ideal place for global manufacturing investors, Christian Wulff, former president of Germany and chairman of the Global Alliance of SMEs said at the event.
