A culture and tourism demonstration area in the south of Anhui province recorded 353.24 billion yuan ($56.07 billion) in tourism revenue in 2017.

The South Anhui International Culture and Tourism Demonstration Area is speeding up the development into the world’s top destination. There are some well-known tourist attractions here such as the world-renowned Huangshan Mountain, villages of Xidi and Hongcun, two UNESCO cultural heritage sites, and Jiuhua Mountain, one of China’s four most famous Buddhist mountains.

13 out of 19 cities and counties in the region listed by the National Tourism Administration among “all-for-one” tourism demonstration zones have mapped out their respective plans for developing “all-for-one” tourism, the idea of which was first mentioned in last year’s cental government work report to cater to the country’s growing demand for tourism products and services and facilitate economic transition.

Major leaders of local governments take charge of developing “all-for-one” tourism. A marketing alliance of seven cities in the area has been set up. It promoted local tourism in Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang province.
