Party Chief of Wuhu Meets Canadian Guests

Pan Zhaohui, Party chief of Wuhu City, met on February 7 with Laurent Troger, president of Bombardier Transportation, and Li Dingnan, general manager of CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co., Ltdand chairman of the board of CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Limited. They held discussions on deepening cooperation. Feng Kejin, executive vice mayor of Wuhu was present at the meeting.

After extending his welcome to the guests, Pan Chaohui briefed them on the economic and social development.

He noted that Bombardier is the No. 1 rail transport equipment manufacturer and service provider and the third largest manufacturer of civil aircrafts in the world. He praised the sound cooperation in the field of rail transport between the two sides.

The Party chief said he hopes the two sides could further seize the opportunity and continuouslyexpand cooperation in rail transport development for mutual benefit.

In addition, the Party chief hopes that the two sides could create a “Wuhu mode” for rail transport development that might be replicated and promoted in China and beyond.

Pan Chaohui also pledged continued support from Wuhu Party committee and government to the development of the enterprise.

Laurent Troger said, with the support of Wuhu Party committee and government, Bombardierhas achieved rapid growth in Wuhu and transferred some advanced technologies and sold products toother part of China and even to some foreign countries.

He said he hopes that both parties could seek more opportunities for cooperation on this basis in a bid to achieve better development.

Before the meeting, Laurent Troger and Li Dingnan paid an inspection visit to Wuhu-based production facility of CRRC Puzhen Bombardier Transportation Limited.
