A 17-second video clip of a good-looking woman killing fish has gone viral recently. She is so adept and beautiful that net users call her “Xishi, the fish-seller” (Xishi is one of the famous Four Beauties of ancient China).
It is worthy of note that the 22-year-old internet celebrity is a native of Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province.
After graduation from senior high school, Yang Juan moved to Suzhou, a city in neighboring Jiangsu province where her parents were engaged in small business. She had helped her parents before she married a fellow countryman in 2016.
Yang has worked at her parents-in-law’s fish stall ever since. Practice makes perfect. She is now skillful at killing, cutting, peeling and cleaning fish. But it still surprised her that she rose to stardom because of a video clip.
Yang was hard-working even during pregnancy. Due to frequent exposure to cold water, her hands grew rough and swelling. “Many customers thought I was 20 years old judging from my face, but they said my hands belonged to those who were in their 40s.” Yang never minds being judged, insisting that whatever she does, she has to give up something.
In her spare time, Yang like dressing up and going shopping. She often posts photos of her fashionable looks on her social meida account.
After her fish-killing video went viral, Yang’s business is booming as many netizens come to her stall to get fish and more importantly, to get a look at her.
Even though she becomes famous, Yang and her family believe they will continue running the fish business no matter what happens.
