2.818 million visitors poured into Wuhu during the 8-day holiday celebrating National Day and Mid-Autumn Day, the longest public holiday in China this year. A huge sum of travelling revenue was created by travellers worth at3.057 billion yuan. While the visitors increased on year-on-year growthof 12.9%, the travelling revenue went up at 13%
Wuhu Fantawild resorts hosted parties in their respective three parks. Visitors were invited to taste super mooncake on Mid-autumn Day (October 4, 2017). Fantawild Dream Park, the second theme park in Wuhu, postponed their business hour to 10 p.m. during the holiday. Float parades, stage performances and firework show stunned everyone.
Jiuzi Town, a tourism resort featuring Anhui-style architectures, launched series activities of chrysanthemum, such as painting, photography, banquet, traditional opera and poem recital. Visitors in Macrolink Beluga Ocean Park enjoyed themselves with marine creatures.
The first cableway in Wuhu was put into operation at Maren Mountain, a forest attraction in Fanchang county, Wuhu city. It was about 800 meters long and 230 meters altitude difference. Glass bridge and cliff ladder must make you a breathtaking trip.
Rural sightseeing included family lodging, fruit picking, fishing and other recreational programs. Visitors were refreshed by the vivid countryside scenery. They got intimate with nature by climbing the mountain and enjoying Lily Flower Exhibition promoted by Yashan Mountainand Dapu Rural World in Nanling county, Wuhu city.
Local citizens took an excursion in counties. New routes were developed, which was popular with natives. Wuhu marketed itself by a joint collaboration between the government and enterprises. Wuhu Tourism Bureau made an advertising video in CCTV; 7 CRH railways fromNanjing to Anqing was title sponsored by the local attractions, such as “Wuhu Fantawild”, “Wuhu Macrolink”, etc.
Self-driving traveling, free itinerary tour, DIY tour and backpack tour had taken on a new normal as common people took tourism as one way of living.
