100 well-performing private enterprises based in East China's Anhui province registered 521.6 billion yuan ($77.9 billion) in sales revenue in 2016, up 15.7 percent from a year earlier, according to lists unveiled on Thursday.
The lists ranked the province's 100 private firms based on last year's sales, foreign trade value and tax payment.
Quanwei Copper and Wenyi Group took the first two places with sales revenue of 53.4 billion yuan and 26.4 billion yuan, respectively.
In terms of tax payment, Wenyi Group was ranked No.1 at 1.6 billion yuan, with the Hefei branch of Guangzhou Evergrande (1.4 billion yuan) behind.
The top 100 paid 25.7 billion yuan of taxes in 2016, representing a year-on-year rise of 28.2 percent.
Meanwhile, they reported $5.6 billion yuan in imports and exports, up 27.1 percent from a year earlier.
Eight companies saw each foreign trade volume surpass $100 million in 2016, compared with nine ones in 2015.
Meizhi Airconditioning claimed the top spot at $415 million, followed by Fengyuan Group at $407 million.
