Anhui and Brest Establish Sister Province-State Ties

Governor Li Guoying and Lis Anatoly Vasilievich, head of Brest Regional Executive Committee, sign the agreement.

Anhui and Brest, Belarus established sister province-state ties in Hefei on the afternoon of September 13. Governor Li Guoying met with Lis Anatoly Vasilievich, head of the Brest Regional Executive Committee and signed the agreement.

Brest, situated in the Southwest of Belarus, is rich in resources. The sectors of food, light industry and machine building develop fast. According to the agreement, The two sides, in accordance with the principle of equality and mutual benefit, will strengthen the inter-governmental regular links and launch cooperation in economy and trade, science and technology, culture, education, health, tourism and talents in a bid to promote common development.

During the meeting, Li Guoying pointed out that Anhui attaches great importance to exchanges and cooperation with Brest of Belarus. Two sides are highly complementary in the fields of food processing, automobile and building materials.

Li hoped to take this opportunity to launch wider and more pragmatic cooperation in modern agriculture, food processing, automobile,machinery manufacturing and building materials to achieve win-win development.

Lis Anatoly Vasilievich said that he will actively launch the cooperation with Anhui, strengthen ties and promote cooperation in wider areas.
