As of July 30, there are 31 German-funded companies in Wuhu including 5 listed on Fortune 500. 20 Germany companies have invested over 600 million dollars and 11 companies from German-speaking countries have invested 650 million dollars. Vehicle production of Bombardier rail transport, the phase II expansion of Continental Automotive, fire engine of CIMC Ziegler have been in construction. Prettl is going to kick off soon.
On July 29, 2016,the national Ministry of Industry and Information Technology authorized Wuhu to set up Sino-Germany (Wuhu) Medium and Small-sized Enterprises Cooperation Park, which is the fourth national Sino-Germany cooperation park and the first one in Central China.
It only takes one year to finish the infrastructure. The lower floors of Sino-Germany Centre have been put into use. The standardized workshops have passed the designing work and the No.2 workshop has been completed. Within this year, the remaining parts of the Centre will be finished. Next month, another standardized workshop covering 10,000square metres is going to start construction. Bosch, Kelvion, Prettl and other 8 German-funded companies have moved into the Park.SAF Holland is expecting to sign the agreement within the year 2017.
On June 1 in Berlin, witnessed by Premier Li Keqiang and German Chancellor Merkel, Sino-Germany AI Research Institute signed the agreement with Wuhu in developing and transferring scientific achievements in next-generation intelligent industrial robots sensoring system.“It will initiate a new model of China-Germany cooperation”, said by Mr. Kersting Torsten, chief representative of German Research Centre in China.
