More than 100 investors, some from the United States, attended a meeting in Hefei, the capital of East China’s Anhui province, between April 10 and 11, to seek business opportunities here as the city steps up efforts to boost its health industry.
The 2017 Sino-US (Hefei) Cross-Border Investment Summit and the Unveiling Ceremony of Incubation Platforms of Zhong’an Chuanggu attracted the US-based companies including iHealth and 3S Ventures, which brought along medical programs ranging from surgical navigation to drug sustained-release, micro blood cancer screening and the application of human adipose stem cells.
Among the Domestic participants were Shenzhen Co-Win Venture Capital Investments Ltd, Cybernaut Investment Group, and the Anhui Provincial Investment Group Holding Co.
Quite a lot of the attendees voiced their intention to invest, while contracts on 16 programs were signed at the event.
The summit functions as a platform for introducing health programs from abroad and nurturing healthcare start-ups, as part of the city’s drive to grow into a national hub of the health industry.
Meanwhile, a series of incubation platforms were unveiled at the gathering. All located in Anhui Zhong’an Chuanggu Technology Park, an Anhui branch of the East Center for National Technology Transfers as well as two incubators opened.
