A kaleidoscope of treasures and crafts in traditional Huizhou styles will wow visitors at an upcoming arts and crafts expo.
The 2nd Traditional Arts and Crafts Expo of China is due to be held from December 7 to 9 in Hefei, the capital of Anhui province.
As a non-profit activity, the expo will offer free admission both to exhibitors and to visitors.
Up to twelve types of exhibits, including the "scholar's four jewels (writing brush, ink stick, ink slab and paper) and three types of Huizhou carving, are to be on display at the Anhui International Convention and Exhibition Center. The venue will cover an area of more than 8,000 sqm.
Anhui's arts and crafts industry involves 2,000 enterprises with a combined workforce of 300,000, of which some generate annual output value of over 20 billion yuan each.
