Huangshan Maofeng Tea

Huangshan Maofeng, included in the category of green teas and produced in Huangshan City, is the first-class tea in China. During the reign of the Emperor Guang Xu in the Qing Dynasty (1875-1908), the tea began to be produced. Huangshan Maofeng is sub-classified into superfine tea and ordinary tea. The superfine tea is produced in the deep mountains 700 meters above the sea level. The tea has tongue-like shapes, slim and slightly crimps and white tines; it is peak green and ivory, embellishing and smooth. When soaked into hot water, the misty, clear and bright tea has a fragrant smell and a sweet taste.
