Mt. Huangshan is crowded with tourists

Huangshan Mountain covers an area of 154 sq km. It has 72 distinct peaks, with Lotus Flower (Lianhua) Peak, Bright (Guangming) Summit and Heavenly Capital (Tiandu) Peak as three most famous ones. It is included into the World Heritage Lists for its cultural and natural values, as well as its world geological park. Fantastic pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, hot springs are the four wonders of Mt. Huangshan. It has become an ideal year-round resort for sightseeing, holiday making, winter traveling and summer vacationing in the world.

In order to further promote Mt. Huangshan to the best international tourists’ destination, Anhui Province and Huangshan Municipal Government have held kinds of activities to attract eyes from the world, with local culture festival, food exhibition, golden itineraries, Hui culture shows, and countryside tourism as examples. Especially, new tourism products of the mountain have enhanced the image of Huangshan City. Recently, Huangshan Municipal Government has uttered its decision to speed up the internationalization of its tourism so as to culminate its 3rd tourism development. It is predicted, by 2010, the tourism investment of the city will be totaled over 20b RMB (2.57b US dollars), while the tourists will be added up to 20 million.
