The opening ceremony of Anhui Innovation Center was held grandly on April 24. In parallel, Anhui Sci-tech Innovation Achievement Fair kicked off at the same time. Li Jinbin, Anhui Party chief, was present at the occasion and announced the opening of the ceremony.
The center, composed of three theme exhibition pavilions, is the first museum complex in China with innovation as its theme.
A total of 1,042 exhibits from 493 entities such as universities, research institutes, enterprises, and public institutions in the province were concentratedly displayed in Pavilion 1.
Exhibited in the theme sector of “Innovation Engine” are models of such mega-science facilities as the Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak, the Steady-state High Magnetic Field Facility, the Synchrotron Radiation Facility and the Atmospheric Environment Observation and Simulation Facility, demonstrating tangibly the achievements in the building of Hefei National Comprehensive Science Center.
In the exhibition sectors of “Innovation Wisdom” and “Innovation for Future” are high-performance chips, 5G equipment, new energy vehicles, high-end medical devices and so on, showing visitors the innovation outcomes of Anhui from new generation information technology, green and low-carbon technology, biology, massive health, and other fields.
Pavilion 2 functions as a trading center for sci-tech innovation projects. The center will integrate R&D transformation, technology transfer, achievement transformation, and personnel training together via new technologies like AI and big data, and bring in enterprises to do business there.
Pavilion 3 is divided into several featured centers such as a global roadshow center, a sci-tech achievement release center, a media innovation and communication center, and a sci-tech intermediary service center. According to the introduction, this venue will be used to host global innovation summits and international innovation competition so as to enhance the popularity and increase the influence of Anhui.
At the ceremony, major sci-tech research achievements from Hefei comprehensive national science center, thousands of sci-tech outcomes for commercialization and projects longing for investment and financing were announced. In addition, the launch ceremony for the online service of Jianghuai Intellectual Property Rights Trading Platform was held.
At the same time, 787 enterprises, the first batch of this kind, were officially listed in the special sci-tech innovation board at the Anhui Regional Equity Market, and 152 contracts were signed at the venue for the transformation of the achievements from big-name sci-tech institutions and research institutes.
