As the first innovation-themed museum in China, Anhui Innovation Center showcases a variety of high-tech exhibits, ranging from Tokamak, known as the “artificial sun” to intelligent clothes and a robot capable of writing.
In an exhibition area for scientific apparatus, visitors not only come into contact with Tokamak, a steady-state high-intensity magnetic field or a synchrotron radiation facility, but also get to know their past and present on screen.
Eye-catching exhibits also include a “plant plant”, where plants grow under man-made light instead of sunlight, coats equipped with LED lights, GPS and telephones, a security check system that is free of radiation and highly efficient, and a robot, dressed up as a beautiful medical worker, able to imitate doctors’ consultation process and provide clinical suggestions based on big data. Another robot may cause excitement as it can write Chinese characters in ink.
Located by the Chaohu Lake in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province, the center gives a glimpse into the province’s achievements in sci-tech innovation. It opened on April 24, 2019.
