The Anhui Innovation Center, designed to showcase Anhui province’s major achievements in sci-tech innovations, is slated to open on April 24.
Situated to the east of the Memeorial Museum of Crossing-Yangtze-River Battle at Binhu New Zone in Hefei, capital of the province, the center will cover a total area of 82,000 square meters and cost 1.07 billion yuan ($159.43 million). It will consist of three pavilions - one for displaying innovations, another for trasforming innovation achievements and the third for providing innovation-related services - as well as a 30,000-square-meter basement.
Over 1,300 workers are now engaged in interior decoration, equipment installation, landscape greening, outdoor paving and planting.
The facility will function as a major hub for building the province’s innovation system, a platform for presenting its achievements in innovation and high-end international innovative wisdom space.
