During the May Day holiday, Xicun village in Gangkou town in Ningguo city, Anhui province implemented a new economic model called “nighttime economy”. Theme venues such as Dream Castle, Sissi Paradise, Light and Shadow Museum, and Museum of Republic of China as well as country roads were lit up, providing a visual feast to visitors.

In recent years, focusing on domestic advantages of resources, local authorities have integrated cultivating culture with southern Anhui Flower Drum Dance, outdoor installation and painting art with agriculture, and gradually established a new agricultural industrialization model integrating organic agriculture, leisure agriculture, and rural tourism. The village receives more than 350,000 visitors per year. (By Yang Zixuan)
