The 3rd Session of the 13th Anhui Provincial People's Congress Opens

The 3^rd Session of the 13^th Anhui Provincial People’s Congress opened on January 12, 2020 in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province.

Li Jinbin, Party chief of the province and head of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People’s Congress, chaired the meeting.

Governor Li Guoying delivered an annual government work report at the opening meeting.

The agenda also included examining a report on the implementation of the annual plan on economic and social development in 2019 and a draft plan on economic and social development in 2020, and examining a report on the implementation of the local budgets in 2019 and the draft budgets in 2020.

708 deputies attended the meeting.

Non-voting participants present at the session included members of the provincial government, deputies from Anhui to the 13th National People’s Congress, members of the 12^th Anhui Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) who are attending the ongoing session of the province’s top political advisory body, as well as relevant officials.
