Anhui lowers prices of nucleic acid testing

Starting on July 1, the price for each nucleic acid test went down from 220 yuan ($31) to a ceiling of 60 yuan (excluding the price for each nucleic acid testing kit) and the price for each coronavirus antibody test went down from 80 yuan to 25 yuan (excluding the price for each coronavirus antibody testing kit) at all of the public medical institutions around Anhui province, according to the Anhui Provincial Healthcare Security Administration.

Each nucleic acid test now costs a maximum of 77 yuan per person at local public medical institutions, while each coronavirus antibody test costs 47.3 yuan at most.

Meanwhile, all in-patients who take the tests can have the cost reimbursed by the province’s medical insurance, the administration said. (By Li Renjian)
