The first group of medical workers sent to Wuhan, Hubei province from Anhui province two months ago returned to Hefei, capital of the eastern Chinese province, on Tuesday. The medical team, consisting of 185 doctors and nurses as well as 23 disease control staff members, headed for Wuhan on January 27 to help battle the COVID-19 outbreak. They have worked at Wuhan Jinyintan Hospital, Wuhan Taikang Hospital, Union Dongxihu Hospital and Wuhan Pulmonary Hospital successively for 64 days. All Anhui’s medics aiding Hubei amid the COVID-19 epidemic have so far returned home.  Hefei Xinqiao International Airport welcomes the planes carrying the medical workers with a water-cannon salute.
