The 2023 Overseas Chinese MediaTrip to Anhui waslaunched in Hefei on Feb 19. Themed “Anhui unswervingly builds new heights of reform and opening-up”, theevent was co-hosted by the Information Office of Anhui Provincial People’s Government, the Department of Commerce of Anhui Province, Anhui Daily Press Group and Overseas Chinese Media Cooperation Organization, more than 10 overseas Chinese media from Australia, the United States, France, Russia, Canada, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions attended the event.

(Photo by Ruichuan Li) A delegation of overseas Chinese media visited Hefei, Anqing and Chizhou during the five-day trip, interviewing industrial enterprises such as NIO House in Hefei, JAC Anqing Company and Anhui Hongye Group, and visiting Changlinhe old street, Liujiafan ancient dwellings and other historical and cultural blocks. Through field experience, on-site exchanges and face-to-face interviews, the representatives of overseas Chinese media focused on the achievements of Anhui’s development, and shared the stories of modern and beautiful Anhui.

(Photo by Ruichuan Li) The Overseas Chinese Media, as an important part of the overseas Chinese community, has its unique advantage of integrating the language, culture and identity of both Chinese and foreign countries. China’s development and changes have been widely disseminated through Chinese-language media, gathering overseas positive energy to tell better China’s stories, making China’s voice heard, and presenting a China that is credible, appealing, and respectable.
