HEFEI, June 17 (Xinhua) -- A video forum
was held Tuesday in Hefei, capital of east China's Anhui Province, with
Chinese and Russian college students engaging in a panel discussion on
COVID-19. More than 40 professors
and students from Anhui Medical University (AMU) and Immanuel Kant
Baltic Federal University (IKBFU) exchanged their views for more than
two hours on a wide range of topics, including the spread, prevention
and treatment of COVID-19, as well as students' volunteer activities
during the pandemic. China has rich
experience in COVID-19 treatment, prevention and control, which is of
great use to Russia, said Evgeniy Lyubiviy, a professor at IKBFU. "The
online forum has brought us closer and built a new platform for both
universities to communicate with each other," said Cao Yunxia, president
of AMU. Alexander Fedorov, rector
of IKBFU, led a delegation on a visit to AMU last December and signed a
cooperation agreement with the Chinese university.
