East China’s Anhui province signed deals or statements of intent for cooperation on 24 cultural programs at the 15th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), held in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong province, from May 16 to May 20.
The programs are worth 8.4 billion yuan ($1.2 billion), 94 percent of which will be injected by investors from out of the province, according to the documents.
Meanwhile, the Anhui pavilion at the fair attracted 383,700 visitors and registered 5.3 million yuan in sales. Purchase deals worth 86 million yuan were also inked.
The Publicity Department of the CPC Anhui Provincial Committee won the Award for Outstanding Organizations, while six Anhui-based cultural firms were given the Award for Outstanding Exhibitors.
The province received 17 Prizes for Chinese Arts, Crafts and Cultural Creativity, up 30.8 percent year-on-year.
In addition, two local companies made the list of China’s Top 30 Cultural Enterprises.
85 cultural firms from the province attended the event, known as the country’s top, internationalized and comprehensive fair for cultural industries. They focused on promoting new business forms of the integration of culture and technology, new models of the integration of culture and tourism, as well as creative cultural products.
