Anhui’s fixed-asset investment rose 2.4 percent year on year between January and September, bringing the eastern Chinese province to the 18th place in the country, according to the Anhui Provincial Bureau of Statistics. The growth was 0.7 percentage point higher than that in the Jan-Aug period. Non-governmental fixed-asset investment fell 3 percent in the first nine months this year, compared with the 4-percent-decline between January and August. In the Jan-Sept period, the investment in the primary sector increased 18.9 percent, that in the secondary sector dropped 8.9 percent, and that in the tertiary sector rose 7.9 percent, the bureau said. The investment in industry declined 9 percent in the Jan-Sept period, narrowing by 0.7 percentage point compared with that of the Jan-Aug period. The investment in infrastructure went up 10.9 percent between January and September. The rise was 1.1 percentage points higher than that in the Jan-Aug period.
