A large agricultural fair is slated to be held in Hefei, capital of East China’s Anhui province, from October 16 to 18, local authorities announced at a press briefing on Friday.

Under the slogan of “Quality, branding, integration and sharing”, the fair will be staged at Binhu International Conference & Exhibition Center and is expected to attract more than 4,000 companies as participants, a spokesperson with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Anhui Province said.

The venue, covering a total area of 100,000 square meters, will showcase more than 25,000 types of agricultural products from across the country.

The three-day event will also feature mayors’ promotion of local agricultural products, a contract-signing ceremony, a meeting between agricultural companies and financial institutes, a forum on agro-tourism, and a meeting on the integrated development of agricultural product processing in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The fair has been held for 11 consecutive years.

The fair in 2019 recorded 120 million yuan in on-the-spot sales. 2,173 business deals worth 2.3 billion yuan were clinched, and 160.3 billion-yuan contracts were signed on 687 investment projects.
