Nine Anhui firms among China’s top 500

China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association unveiled the annual list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises on Monday, including nine ones based in East China’s Anhui province.

The minimum revenue on the list stood at 35.96 billion yuan ($5.28 billion), up from last year’s 32.33 billion yuan.

China Petrochemical Corporation topped the list with revenues of 2.81 trillion yuan in 2019, followed by the State Grid Corporation of China (2.65 trillion yuan) and China National Petroleum Corporation (2.61 trillion yuan).

The list showed the combined net profit of the 500 firms rose 10.2 percent year on year.
