East China’s Anhui province will continue to act in the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits and promote the economic and trade cooperation between local enterprises and their counterparts in countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI) this year, according to the Department of Commerce of Anhui Province. Since the beginning of this year, the province has implemented the strategy of diversifying markets, encouraged around 1,000 foreign trade enterprises to attend some 100 overseas fairs, and accelerate the exploration of BRI market. The province has also strengthened cooperation with Southeast Asia, Africa and Central Asia in production capacity, taken part in building overseas industrial parks and contracted overseas engineering projects. E-commerce platforms like Alibaba has also been used to expand international market.
